Crop Circles and Cognitive Dissonance: Exploring the Depths of Existence (Audio Blog)

This is an audio version of the blog I wrote during the summer of 2023. This season was highlighted with perfectly formed circles, spanning hundreds of feet in diameter, that had no discernible centres! Although this is not a new aspect of the phenomenon, never before have they been so prolific during one season. What’s the reason for this? Is there a hidden message here, that possibly reveals something about the motivation behind the authors of the circle makers? In this blog, researcher Gary King explores these questions and in doing so makes some extremely thought provoking connections with philosophy, cosmology and the personal individual journey through life.

Title: “Crop Circles and Cognitive Dissonance: A Philosophical Journey”

Synopsis:
This blog, penned by researcher Gary King, takes readers on a captivating exploration of crop circles, consciousness, and cognitive dissonance. The narrative begins with the revelation that a recent crop circle formation mirrors a magazine logo, leading to a thought-provoking examination of cognitive dissonance—the discomfort arising from conflicting thoughts.

Drawing on insights from the late Michael Glickman, the blog highlights how crop circles often challenge beliefs and induce cognitive dissonance. Gary then navigates through the mystery of the Wayland’s Smithy formation, emphasizing its precision and the absence of a discernible center, creating an intellectual puzzle.

The narrative takes a philosophical turn, connecting cognitive dissonance with self-awareness and meditation. Gary suggests that facing conflicting thoughts is a mental exercise akin to meditation, providing valuable self-understanding.

The exploration continues with a dive into the concept of God as the center of a circle, a recurring theme in religious and philosophical traditions. The blog examines the connections between this idea, the pursuit of self-knowledge encapsulated in “Know Thyself,” and the quest for wisdom and virtue.

In conclusion, the blog proposes that the concepts of “God as the center of a circle” and “Know Thyself” are interconnected, encouraging readers to explore their inner selves and recognize their place in the broader universe. The narrative, skillfully woven by Gary, blends psychology, philosophy, and the enigma of crop circles into a compelling invitation to embrace cognitive dissonance for deeper self-awareness and understanding.

The voices used was produced by an actor/impersonator and then further filtered using the latest A.I software.
